Through video, special features, and relevant partnerships, University Bay aspires to become the ultimate originator and aggregator of entertainment and services targeting the collegiate demographic.

How do I blog for UniversityBay.com?

Our college blog is made up of very talented college students across the United States who are opinionated and love sharing their thoughts about their personal life, college life and everything else that happens in the world relevant to college students. If you think you fit this description, please send your name, university which you attend, and an example blog post to blog@UniversityBay.com.

What do I have to do to host my videos on your awesome website?

We encourage all students who produce original quality video or animated shorts to send us a link to the video and your contact info to contentproviders@universitybay.com, so we can check it out and let you

How do I embed your player on my website, myspace, blog or other personal page?

Located on the bottom of the University Bay player on the homepage are options “get link” and “get code”. Depending on if you want our player to live on your page, or you just want a link to our player on your page will determine which option you choose to use. Either way, linking to us or embedding our player on your page will make you much cooler!

What can be sold/swapped on UniversityBay.com college classifieds?

Just about anything! Textbooks, jewelry, furniture, cars, etc. We cannot, however, allow you to sell people, back tests, illegal substances [need we say more], or pets that you know weren’t allowed in the dorms in the first place…tsk, tsk, tsk. If you’re not sure about which items cannot be posted, please email us at info@universitybay.com and we’ll get right back to you.

What information do I have to provide to post an item?

Simply register with UniversityBay.com in order to post an item. Once registered, you can post just about anything by selecting the ‘Post” option and providing the item name, description/condition, price, and a picture if available.

How long does the post stay on the website?

All posts will remain active on the website for 45 days although, you do have the ability to remove and edit them prior to the deadline.

How much does it cost to use this service?

There are absolutely NO costs associated with college students posting items or surfing UniversityBay.com. Isn’t that great!

Can I swap/sell stuff to students at other campuses?

You are more than welcome to post items to more than one campus site; however, you assume responsibility for making sure that those items make it to their new home, so make sure you’ve also stopped by the job postings to make sure the money for postage is covered.

How do I invite a friend to join UniversityBay.com?

Just go to the ‘Tell A Friend” page and type in their email address and press send. In minutes, your friend or friends will receive an email instructing them on how to register for UniversityBay.com.

What do I do if I don’t see my College or University listed?

UniversityBay.com is constantly adding schools to the service, in efforts to eventually serve students nationally. If you don’t see your school and would like to see it listed, bug us until we add it at info@universitybay.com.

How do I become a campus representative and what does that position entail?

UniversityBay.com would love for very energetic and passionate students to become campus representatives. For you go-getters out there, all you need to do is click on the ‘Campus Representative” link on the bottom of the page or submit your contact info to campusrep@UniversityBay.com, and we will get back to you promptly. As a campus representative you will be the liaison between UniversityBay.com and the school which you attend, scheduling campus events, handling marketing, giving surveys, along with many other activities involving the promotion and representation of UniversityBay.com.

What are “.edu” email addresses?

An ‘.edu” address is an email address that ends with ‘.edu”, which can only be provided to current college and university students from the schools which they attend.

Why must I obtain an “.edu” email address to use UniversityBay.com?

To provide security and to maintain the integrity of the site and college campuses, some of UniversityBay.com’s features are only accessible to college students.

What is a college search engine?

UniversityBay.com’s college search engine is a custom search engine that only indexes and searches for your information within a select group of websites that UniversityBay.com deems to be relevant to the collegiate demographic. No matter what you search for, we will try to make sure your results are in the context of things related to college.
